The Secrets of the Universe

Uranus is the coldest planet in the solar system. Temperatures here can dip as low as 225°C or 373°F. Besides that, it has a very dynamic atmosphere. Wind speeds on Uranus can exceed 900 km/hr or 560 miles/hr. One of the most unique features of Uranus is its extreme tilt. Most planets in our solar system are tilted on their axis to some extent, but Uranus is actually tipped on its side by about 98 degrees! This means it essentially orbits the Sun on its side. Due to its unique axial tilt, Uranus experiences extreme seasons, with each pole getting around 42 years of continuous sunlight, followed by 42 years of darkness. It is also one of the least explored planets in the solar system, with Voyager 2 being the only spacecraft to have passed by it.
