We take a moment to clarify if Joe is actually lactose intolerant, where Buddies, he’s not!! How can he be when there are so many Milkshakes to choose from, ok of course being McDonald’s. The boys bring it to the phones and realize that Milkshake’s are winning and forget an Affogato Sal, it’s just not in your cards. The first recorded root beer float was made in 1893 by a Colorado gold mine owner named Frank J. Wisner. Wisner was inspired by the snowy peaks of the nearby Cow Mountain and added a scoop of vanilla ice cream to his root beer to create a drink that looked like snowcapped mountains. The original name for the root beer float was "black cow." Root beer floats became popular in the 1920s and 1930s, and were often served at soda fountains and diners. In some regions of the United States, a root beer float is also known as a "brown cow." Root beer floats can be made with different types of ice cream, such as chocolate or strawberry, and can also be topped with whipped cream or sprinkles for added sweetness.
