The Miele Triflex cordless vacuum cleaners have 2 different filters the HX1 and Hx2. These need to be cleaned quarterly. Remove the dust compartment by turning it's top form 12:00 to 11:00. Empty the dust bin by turning to 10:00 and unlatch the filters by turning the top to 9:00.

We showed in the inserted picture where the HX1 and HX2 filters differ. You remove the filters dust them off and reinstall to keep your peak performance. More details on the Hx1 removal here.
