To watch 360degree video, also known as VR videos on YouTube, you don't need a headset!
When you load a video, on your phone or desktop instead of putting on a headset, you can watch the whole video and look in all directions without any issues!
On desktop, you can click and drag with a mouse, click the arrows in the top lefthand corner of the screen or use the arrow keys!
On a mobile device, you can drag your finger across the screen or tilt your phone in different directions!
