Michel Platini was born in Joef, France on June 21, 1955 and began his football career at the age of 11. He started playing for Nancy but after winning a Coupe de France he signed for the best team in the country. In SaintEtienne, he won his first championship and after 3 years, he became a legend of Juventus Turin by winning the eagerly awaited European Cup (1985).

His worldwide recognition came to him with the France team, with which he played 3 World Cups and with which he won the first French international football tournament (European Cup 1984 in France). With "Les Bleus", he played 72 games and scored 41 goals, leaving an average scorer of more than one goal every two games.
