We adopted this new kitten from a local animal shelter recently, and we are so excited to share the news with you!

This is Ginger, female, born at the end of February 2021 (around 28th, exact date unknown). We weren't actively looking for a new kitten, but when we saw Ginger at the animal shelter, our hearts melted and we knew we had to do something!

Her legs were injured in an accident when she was 4 weeks old. Fortunately xray shows no obvious fractures or dislocations. After treatments and care provided by the shelter and foster home, the legs had fully recovered before adoption. Tough kitten!!

Due to the spay surgery, she was vomiting and lost appetite for almost two days after we took her home (side effects of anesthesia). She refused to eat anything during the first two days, and I thought we've gotten another picky eater . Fortunately she started eating normally after that.

Surprisingly she still craves kitten milk, so we've been feeding her a bit of KMR Milk Replacer everyday. In comparison, Curry and Sugar switched to solid food quite early. Also, Ginger wasn't interested in any dry food or treats until two days ago. She was on wet food and milk only.

Curry and Sugar have been keeping their distances most of the time. introducing a new cat to existing cats takes a lot of time and patience, but hopefully they will become friends one day.

Despite all the traumatic experiences at such a young age, she turned out to be an extremely energetic kitten. She has been running all over the place and playing with any toy available to her as soon as she wakes up.
