This week's homemade cat food is Chawanmushi (茶碗蒸し), a classic Japanese appetizer. We've had Chawanmushi at a local Japanese restaurant a few times, and it is delightful! Now our cats can enjoy it too!! You can replace chicken with any meat of your cat's choice (salmon, tuna, turkey, beef, etc.). If your cat is not impressed by this delicate and savory dish, simply add a bit of soy sauce and you've got yourself a nice treat!

Chawanmushi is typically steamed and served in a small tea cup with lid, hence the name Chawan (tea cup or tea bowl), but you can also use ramekins, small bowls, or ovenproof mugs to prepare the steamed custard.

✨ Cat grass
