METRO MANILA SKYWAY STAGE 3 (MMSS3)
The Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3Project (MMSS3) is an elevated expressway from Buendia,Makati City to the North Luzon Expressway in Balintawak, Quezon City with a length of about 18.83 kilometers. 2x3 lanes from Buendia to Sgt. Rivera corner A. Bonifacio, Quezon City, 2x2 lanes from Sgt. Rivera corner A. Bonifacio to NLEX Balintawak, Quezon City and 2x3 lanes elevated roadway structure that will connect to the NLEXSLEX Connector Road Project in the vicinity of PUP
In order to facilitate the completion of
MMSS3 Project, the construction implementation shall be five (5) sections as follows.

Section 1: Buendia, Makati Quirino Avenue Nagtahan
Section 2: Nagtahan Aurora Blvd./ Ramon Magsaysay Avenue
Section 2A: Nagtahan Tomas Claudio
Section 2A': Tomas Claudio PUP, Sta. Mesa
Section 2B: Tomas Claudio Ramon Magsaysay Ave (San Juan River)
Section 3: Ramon Magsaysay Ave ( San Juan River)
Section 4: Quezon Avenue Balintawak, Quezon City
Section 5: Balintawak, Quezon City NLEX Footbridge...

CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) The second section of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Connector has finally opened to the public on October 28.

According to NLEX Corporation, this will allow travelers to get from Caloocan to Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard in eight minutes.

The NLEX Connector can be accessed through C3 Road in Caloocan City, and España and Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard in Manila. This second section makes up 2.55 kilometers of the total eight kilometers of the NLEX Connector project.

NLEX Corporation advised motorists to ensure that they have enough RFID balance before they make the trip as the NLEX Connector is 100% RFID

For now, the connector toll has a discounted rate of P86 until further notice.

The opening of the second section will ease traffic congestion in major thoroughfares like Aurora Boulevard, España, G. Araneta, Lacson, Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard, and Nagtahan.

Those coming from southern Manila can also just enter the Ramon Magsaysay Interchange to reach NLEX without having to pass service roads.

The first section of the NLEX Connector was opened in March before Holy Week, which links Caloocan and España, cutting travel time to five minutes.

It costs P86 for Class 1, P215 for Class 2, and P302 for Class 3 vehicles to pass through the first section. In addition, the Toll Regulatory Board said the first section is the first toll to implement a 24/7 barrierfree Electronic Toll Collection System. Motorists will only need to slow, not stop, for the RFID to be scanned by the machine.

The entire P23.3billion project is expected to serve around 35,000 daily vehicles, with travel time from SLEX Alabang to NLEX Balintawak said to be possible in 20 minutes. (nlex corporation/piancr)
