HAWAIʻI ISLAND The lava flow has advanced very little since Wednesday morning, when it was about 1.8 mi (2.9 km) from the Daniel K. Inouye Highway, aka Saddle Road. A significant breakout nearly three miles back on the channel could be removing lava from the flow front.
