This shrimp recipe is very easy and quick to make, but it is very delicious. I used small sized prawns but you can use medium or large sized ones as well.
Ingredients required for making shrimp masala Serves 4 to 5
* 580 gm/1.3 lb shrimp or prawns
* 250 gm/ 9 oz / 1 very large onion
* 20 gm/ 1 oz ginger
* 20 gm/ 3 large garlic cloves
* 300 gm/ 11 oz/ 2 large red tomatoes
* 1 & 1/2 teaspoons Kashmiri red chilli powder. Please adjust proportion according to your preference. You can also use a combination of paprika and chilli powder or only paprika if you want to avoid the heat totally.
* 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
* 2 teaspoons ground coriander (dhania powder)
* 1 teaspoon ground cumin (jeera powder)
* half a teaspoon garam masala powder.Home made Garam Masala    • 3 MUST HAVE HOMEMADE INDIAN SPICE POW...
