Just a few days ago H.A.L.T. Rescue was asked to help a stray dog that had been found in a rural area of Kern County. The photos of the dog were heartbreaking and disturbing. H.A.L.T. jumped into action immediately and gave Maribel the help she so desperately needed.

These type of situations are far too common in Kern County. But H.A.L.T. Rescue steps up to help dogs like Maribel over and over again. A Safefurr Place is proud to stand with H.A.L.T. and we wanted to shine a spotlight on the incredible work they do in Bakersfield and the surrounding areas.

Although Maribel's initial medical costs have been covered, H.A.L.T.'s commitment and care for her and over 20 other rescued dogs never ends.
