After Rich and I had an unbelievable day metal detecting this 1840s farmhouse we had to go back again. On the first trip we barely covered 10% of the property and we already found a ton of amazing old things including a fistful of silver coins, early US coppers, sterling thimbles, old fancy buttons, a ton of old relics, fatty Indian cents, and even 2 Flying Eagles which is Doug’s biggest bucket list coin of all time! So we decide to go back again but unfortunately we have a man down. Doug is still recovering from surgery and is under doctor’s orders to stay off his feet for a few weeks so metal detecting is not allowed. He’s still going to join us, but only as a spectator so we’re going to need someone to fill his shoes (no pun intended). Well we found some great alternatives that are actually more familiar with this place than anyone, the property owners themselves. We brought extra detectors for them, gave a crash course on how they work, and off we go continuing right where we left off and the treasures are still pouring out of the ground like lava!
