A&Z #719 Atlas vs Mallie's Monster Taco Challenge at Mallie's Sports Grill in Southgate, Detroit, Michigan. At the end of April 2019 (last weekend), my Further U team and I traveled up to Michigan to attempt three food challenges around the Detroit and Grand Rapids metro areas. For challenge #1 on that Friday, I went to Mallie's Sports Grill in Southgate, Michigan which is a suburb of Detroit. There I attempted Mallie's Monster Taco Challenge which features three giant tacos to be finished in less than 30 minutes. Each 12" deepfried molded tortilla contained 2lbs of chicken or beef topped with shredded cheese, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and jalapenos. BIG thanks to everyone at Mallie's for the amazing hospitality and HUGE thanks to the over 100 people from around the area who came to watch and meet me!! The next Michigan video will feature a giant sandwich challenge in Kalamazoo, MI and the other challenge was in Greenville, MI!!

Mallie's Sports Grill's Monster 2lb Taco Challenge ($45):

Mallie's is known for their huge 2lb tacos and each taco features a 12" deep fried tortilla molded into taco shape. Each taco is filled with 2lbs of meat and you can choose pulled pork, beef, or chicken. Each taco for the challenge must have cheese plus three healthy vegetables. I chose lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and jalapenos. There is a 30 minute time limit to finish 3 of the giant tacos which together weigh over 8lbs total. Winners receive the meal free, a sweet tshirt, and $100 cash along with a spot on Mallie's Wall of Fame. The challenge can be attempted anytime or you can just order one to enjoy for $15 each.
