Henlo, my Famboos!
It’s here! I’m singing “Yuzurenai Negai”! Finally! I know, right? It’s been on my song suggestions list for like, what… since February? And it has been the most requested song by you, my listeners! I promised that I’d sing this song when I reach 1,000 subscribers but it didn’t go as planned because I honestly didn’t think I’d reach 1,000 subscribers for at least a year. And I kept putting this off for something special like my 10,000 subscribers but I felt like the date isn’t right. Yes, I have this kind of weird brain sometimes. So today, it’s December 12 (12/12)! Which is sort of a great date to upload something special, right? And this too, is to celebrate my birthday and my YouTube channel’s comeback anniversary. It’s perfect, at least for me!

I know some of you were expecting a Japanese and Filipino mix of languages but I decided to just sing the Japanese original lyrics so that my nonFilipino listeners can also relate to it fully. Since (I think) the original Japanese lyrics is also widely known in the Philippines, I’m hoping you (Filipino listeners) would definitely recognize this, too. And if not, then now's a great chance to introduce you to the original lyrics. You'll be amazed at how different the meaning of the original words compared to our Filipino lyric adaptation.

It’s been a really long time since I last sang this song. I didn’t go crazy with the adlibs and improvisations this time because I want to preserve the song’s classic and nostalgic sound. Also, it will be a challenge to do some crazy stuff with it since I’m only using the official Yuzurenai Negai instrumental and it already has some backing vocals so going crazy with the improvisations will probably sound off when it’s not in sync with the backing vocals. But that’s just me.

I hope this is worth the wait. Thank you all for listening and singing with me weekly since last year. I appreciate all your comments and thoughts, and all these magical ways that we can connect with each other.
