London Marylebone to Birmingham Moor St on Chiltern Railways. One journey two interesting stations!

I've quite fancied checking out Chiltern Railways' "under the radar" route between London and Birmingham for quite some time. Chiltern have carved out a solid reputation and their lengthy relationship with Marylebone has turned a station that was slated for closure into a quirky, sneaky success story.

Compared to every other London termini, Marylebone is still very quiet and sleepy. but I like that. It makes it special and worth our time.

In Birmingham, they did close the old GWR terminal station at Moor Street, but the station was just mothballed. And with increasing traffic and the relentless support of the Moor St Historical Society, the station breathes again. And what a rebirth it has had!

Throw in the fact that the ride goes through the Chiltern Hills (and only cost me £4.20) you can see why this was definitely one worth doing.
