Ingredients
* For the Crust:
* 2 Cups of Flour
* 1/2 cup of Powdered Sugar
* 2 Sticks of Unsalted Butter, at room temperature
* For the Filling:
* 1 14 oz Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
* 4 Eggs
* 80z of Fresh Lemon Juice
* Zest of 1 Lemon
* 1/4 tsp of Salt
* 1 tsp Baking Powder
* 1 Tbsp of Flour
* Yellow Food Coloring (optional)
* 2 tsp Cream of tartar(optional)
Recipe:
* Preheat oven at 350F.
* Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and butter to form a loose dough.
* Press the dough in a 9*13 baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.
* For the filling: Combine eggs, lemon juice, zest, flour, salt, condensed milk, cream of tartar and yellow food color. Whisk well.
* Add the filling to the crust and bake for 30 minutes until the edges are firm and center is slightly jiggly.
* Cool in the fridge for upto 4 hours or overnight!
Serving suggestion: Sprinkle powdered sugar and top with whipped cream.
