We hiked the Alum Cave trail to Leconte Lodge to stay 2 nights and it was absolutely amazing! The mountain sunrises and sunsets from mt Leconte were breathtaking the primitive lodge itself was full of history, fun, and relaxation! Definitely one of the best things to do in the Smoky Mountains and on of the best things to do in Gatlinburg, Tennessee! This is the highest elevated lodge in the Eastern United States!!
