This train is running under symbol USANCKB019 and represents a detoured BNSF consist that was loaded with Canadian metallurgical coal near Sparwood, BC. Bound for interchange with the Chicago South Shore and South Bend Railroad, this train typically heads east over CPKC’s Crowsnest Pass and hops onto BNSF rails at Sweetgrass Montana, but due to flooding and bridge damage in BC and AB, the train traversed slightly west and south, changing hands to UP at Eastport, ID and finally to BNSF at Sandpoint Junction. The train has already made the trip from Sandpoint, ID to Whitefish, MT, and the train’s journey continues on my layout with a recrew at Whitefish yard.
