You may know how to start and stop your lawnmower, but knowledge of the Lawn mower Electrical System will help with Troubleshooting. Have you ever wondered how the system works? This simple but ingenious Electrical Start/Stop System does this?

In 7 minutes you will learn, visually, about the workings of the ignition coil and how it produces electrical current, the reason for the fixed magnet on the flywheel, the spark plug and how it generates a spark, the stop/start switch and how it stops the engine, the stop wire and how it needs to be in good order, and some problems and solutions that can arise with the electrical system.

I have included quite a lot of different content in this video that will hopefully help in developing a deeper understanding in the lawnmower stop system/mechanism. This is based on a 4 Stroke Engine from a lawnmower.

So, whether you are using a Riding lawn mower, Push mower, Petrol lawnmower or even an electric lawn mower, this principle is valid. Also true whether your mower has either a 4 Stroke Engine or a 2 Stroke Engine. The Robot Lawn mower doesn't escape this principle either!
