This is one of five Inspection Saloons built at Wolverton in the late 1950s to the LMS design. These were the last LMS design vehicles to be built, more than a decade after the company had ceased to exist. BR (LMS design) Inspection Saloon No.DB999502 in BR maroon livery acquired by The Scottish Railway Preservation Society in 2001 and delivered by G.C.S. Johnson Ltd, Heavy Haulage Cargo and freight company Richmond, North Yorkshire.

Built 1958, Birmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon Co. 1,160 BHP.
This locomotive was allocated new to Hornsey, and was transferred to Haymarket in 1966, being withdrawn in November 1992.
Since restoration, it has visited the Llangollen Railway, the East Lancashire Railway, Toton Depot open day and the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. It has also seen regular use at The Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway.
BRCW type 2 locomotive finished as 26004 in the Railfreight Triple Grey livery with coal sector markings.
After transfer to Scotland where new motive power was often in short supply the first seven class 26 locomotives, D5300D5306, later 26001 to 26006 (D53016) and 26007 (D5300) were fitted with train air brake and slow speed control equipments for hauling MGR coal trains serving the Cockenzie power station.
