Six weeks after the newborn kittens were born, the babies have grown and gotten stronger and it's time to wean the kittens from mom's milk. We gave them a taste of meat pate and got an unexpected reaction.
The kittens were curious about the new food, their tiny noses twitching as they approached the dish. One little one leaned forward cautiously, inhaling the unfamiliar aroma. They just couldn't figure out what they were supposed to do. We put some pâté on their nipples and they began to lick. We could tell by the look on their faces that they liked the taste. All that was left was to learn how to eat it.
