The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway goes West with their annual Steam Gala, welcoming guest locos GWR Castle Class 4079 'Pendennis Castle' from Didcot Railway Centre and BR(W) Modified Hall 6990 'Witherslack Hall' from the Great Central Railway. This year marks the centenary of 4079's construction at Swindon Works, with her visit to Keighley setting the start of her tour of several heritage railways throughout 2024.

Accompanying the western duo was a wide selection of the Worth Valley home fleet, in addition to Bahamas Locomotive Society engines LMS Jubilee Class 45596 'Bahamas' and LNWR Coal Tank 1054, working a packed timetable including demonstration goods, express services and doubled headed running.
