From our 14month journey, we saw fantastically beautiful landscapes and observed animals. These shots are so beautiful that it would be a shame not to make them accessible to everyone. A slide show series in several parts is the result.
In May 2013, we started our journey in Halifax, Canada.
In about 50 days, our journey took us from eastern Canada to western Canada to Vancouver. Then, it took us about 20 days to get to Alaska. In Alaska, we took a round trip for about 15 days, and from Alaska to Glacier National Park, it took us another 16 days.
In the western USA, we traveled back and forth for 4 months until reaching San Diego.

Here we interrupted the journey because our USA visa only allowed a stay of 180 days. After 10 days at home in Germany, the journey continued.
From San Diego, our journey took us about 50 days through the southwestern USA, mostly close to the Mexican border, through the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas to the Gulf of Mexico.
For the route along the Gulf Coast to the southern tip of Florida, we needed another 40 days.
We traveled through the states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
From southern Florida, we traveled northeast. The Blue Ridge Parkway, a road in the Appalachians only allowed for noncommercial vehicles, was our road towards Canada.
We crossed the states of Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, and Maine. A detour took us to Washington.
After another 1 1/2 months, at the end of May 2014, we left the USA.

Exactly one year had passed since we entered the USA with our car and caravan. At that time, that was the maximum duration of stay for Europeanregistered vehicles in the USA. Canada was not so strict; here we would have had 3 years.
The tour continued in Canada. We circled the Gaspesie Peninsula. The end of Gaspesie is also the end of the Appalachians. After that, we continued to Halifax. That was another 40 days.

Exactly after 416 days, our journey through Canada, Alaska, and the USA ended in Halifax.
In 2016, we were in the USA again for 170 days with a car and caravan, and there are also videos on YouTube about this.
