In reading Jung's Aion I recognized a progression of ideas in his explanation of The Self, The Shadow, The Ego, The Anima and the Animus are consistent with Tarot and the progression of the Major Arcana. We know Jung was familiar with Tarot and I think that Aion (Also about Astrology and Christ Consciousness) "borrowed" from Tarot.
