Installing new floors in an RV makes a huge difference. We went with Luxury Vinyl floors for this Jayco remodel. They are durable and water resistant. The click together installation made the process a breeze, except for those tricky cuts. We also highlight building custom furniture for this renovated travel trailer. We designed and constructed a boho farmhouse bench and table with hairpin legs. And the floating table in this camper gives the flexibility to use it both indoors and out, as well as to have a full table that easily converts into a kitchen island or breakfast bar or cooler yet a desk that takes advantage of the huge window. The bench not only provides great seating, but also extra storage, which you can never have enough of in an RV. The final piece we highlight in this video is the construction of the couch slide. We basically used the idea behind a simple slide commonly found in van conversions. The top piece that mounts to the futon has slates that fit into between slats mounted on the base. This allows it's to go in and out to form the bed. We also were able to add some great storage under here as well. Also highlighted in this video are design meetings. We create a plan of action prior to demo day, however it can be a fluid situation that develops as we go along depending on what obstacle we face or how the space is shaping up. So these meetings are helpful to make sure we are on the same page and that all ideas are being considered and thought through.
