Around Carlisle for the
Jacobite Black 5 and the
Blue Pullman
with a few other trains
25 and 26 April 24

On the 25th, early for me, I went up to Springfield, just north of Gretna Junction and the Scottish Border to see what West Coast Railways were sending from Carnforth to Fort William.

On the 26th I went to Carlisle's Citadel Station. Locomotive services were sending the Midland Pullman set to Dundee in preparation for a charter the following day from that city to Blackpool, via the settle & Carlisle line.

I also had a walk up onto the city walls and towards the Castle to film a few trains north of the station towards Caldew Junction.

Whilst at the station I filmed a few other trains including the lunchtime engineer's train to Basford Hall. This proved to be longer than usual and included a Freightliner 66 in the consist.
