Although most people have to wait a few years before they can enter the buyside, the most elite candidates at the most finance oriented programs can sometimes break in out of school. There are a handful of top private equity firms and hedge funds that will each hire a few analysts every year, but does that mean you should definitely take their offer?

Being a buyside analyst puts you on the fast track and you'll get paid more, but it can be intimidating if you aren't technically prepared.
