I visited Chamula, a town in Chiapas, Mexico, where the influence of CocaCola is astonishing. Mexico is known as the world's largest consumer of soft drinks, with Chiapas being the highestconsuming state. In Chamula, this consumption reaches extreme levels, earning it the title of the most Cokeloyal town globally. Unfortunately, this addiction to Coke has deeply infiltrated the town's traditional culture and religion, leading to health issues like diabetes due to excessive sugar intake.

Exploring Chamula's Coke obsession was both meaningful and alarming. It was interesting to witness how a multinational corporation can shape and alter cultural practices. However, it was also disheartening to see how easily a community can become blindly obedient to harmful influences, unaware of the detrimental effects on their health and heritage.
