SKILLS AND WELLNESS

In this video, I’m going to show you simple ways how to increase blood flow and circulation of your legs and feet.
Limited blood flow and circulation can cause swelling, making it difficult to walk. If left untreated, swelling can worsen and lead to more serious complications, such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot that can dislodge and result in pulmonary embolism. Poor circulation can also cause numbness and tingling sensations in your legs and feet, as well as poor wound healing.
Contrary to popular belief, walking is the easiest exercise to prevent swelling and improve circulation and blood flow in your legs and feet. Swelling occurs when blood has difficulty returning to your heart through your veins and fluid through the lymphatic system, which works against gravity. Fortunately, your veins and lymphatic vessels surround your muscles and can be activated and contracted through movement and exercise.
By walking regularly, you can help prevent swelling and improve circulation in your legs and feet. This video explains how limited blood flow and circulation can cause swelling, and how walking can help prevent it. It also covers the causes of poor circulation, the symptoms of swelling, and the importance of exercise in maintaining healthy circulation.
