In this video I take a semi deep dive into the issues facing our home away from home on Dauphin Island Alabama mainly having to do with beach erosion and the root causes and solutions. Ultimately I would love to go back in time a few years to when we built and explore lite deck and build our properties out of icf and lite deck as they'd be pretty bulletproof to the wind and fire at least... the erosion is a concern for any structure on the beach obviously but we can always build sea walls and other mitigation if the core of engineers doesn't fix their bad practices soon!
