We landed on a HOT site! First site of the day was a complete BUST. Mark and I moved to a place where he had some success. There used to be 2 homes out in the field. We found a few nice keepers out of the iron patch. After lunch we decided to try in the fields around the house that still stands on the property. Mark has found a few old copper coins in the area. All I can say is WOW, this place is RICH! We didn't have a ton of time, but the coins came fast! We dug a few coins over 300 years old including a coin I've NEVER seen before. I actually needed help to Identify it. It was a great day metal detecting for colonial history!
