The premiere of the newest addition to the beloved The Hunger Games film franchise is fast approaching. The Hunger Games : The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes will hit theaters on November 17th, and it’s got us reminiscing about the original film, which came out over a decade ago now in 2012. While we all love this movie, seeing what really went on behind the scenes gives us even more appreciation of how this film came to be. Behindthescenes footage offers a lot of insight into just how much fun it was to be on this set. Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson were always goofing off on set, pulling pranks, and enjoying inside jokes. In fact, Woody Harrelson, who played Haymitch Abernathy, thought of The Hunger Games as the most fun film set he’d ever been on. Besides, the fun on set, there was also plenty of fight training to make those combat scenes look great, as well as a few onset injuries. Plenty went into making the hair and costumes what they were, including $30,000 worth of wigs for just one character. Seeing these cast members enjoying their time on set, as well as everything that went into making this iconic film come to life is getting us excited for The Hunger Games : The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, and we just might want to watch the original again while we wait.
