Welcome to this quick tutorial on how to update your Canon EOS R5 Firmware. This process will work for this new 1.1.0 firmware and all upcoming firmware for this camera. I don’t have an R6 but I assume this process also works for the Canon EOS R6 as well.

How to download and update your Canon R5 Firmware:
1 Set camera to P mode
2 Download newest firmware
3 Format SD card in camera
4 Copy firmware to formatted card
5 Put SD card into camera and install firmware
