Hi I'm Tiffany with Headcovers.com and today I'm going to show you how to tie a rectangular headscarf in a classic bow. The rectangle headscarf is perfect for women who like the look of extra fabric hanging down in the back, similar to a ponytail. I’m wearing the meridian beanie. It has pleats on the sides and light padding on the top to provide extra body and volume underneath our headscarf and to prevent the scarf from slipping. I’m using our oblong batik headscarf and its the perfect length and width for tying, however, you can use any rectangular headscarf you just might have to fold it in half or in a quarter to get the perfect head coverage. I’m going to take the edge and fold it in to hide the seam. You’ll take the folded edge and place it along the hairline and you’re going to want to make sure its centered against the forehead when you do this. You’ll take the two long ends to the back and tie them in an initial knot. Now just like tying your shoes, you’re going to tie a bow. Then, you can fluff out the bow to give you more volume. And then you’re going to want to adjust it over the ears and forehead to give you full head coverage. This is our first look. To give us another look what we can do is take the folded edge and line it up with one of your ears. And you’ll bring the two long ends to the side this time. You’ll tie your initial knot and tie your bow and you can also fluff out your sides to give you more volume. If you bow is too big or too small you can also adjust it by pulling the long ends to get the desired look. Now that I have the bow the size I want I’m just going to adjust it to give full head coverage and this is the final look. Let us know in the comments below if you prefer the scarf on the back or to the side. All of the products I used today are linked in the description box below. I’ll see you in the next video!
