You may have experienced that you properly shut down your PC after finishing your work. But, next time when will open it, you have faced a hardware failure issue. Do you know, you can scan your PC with builtin tools of Windows before any hardware failure? In this video, we will see some easy steps to test for hardware failures in a computer.
1. Click on the Windows search bar at the bottom left.
2. Type performance monitor in the search bar.
3. From the search result, click on the Performance Monitor App.
4. You can see the System Summary on the main screen of Performance Monitor.
5. In the left side panel, click on the Performance Monitor, and this will show you a progress graph.
6. On the left side, click on the Reports and then click on the System.
7. Select System Diagnostics to check the stats.
8. Close the Performance Monitor.
9. Let’s open another tool to monitor the memory.
10. Type mdsched in the search bar of the Windows.
11. Click on the Windows Memory Diagnostic app.
12. Click on the Restart now and check for the problems option.
13. Your PC will restart and Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool will start checking for any hardware problem.
14. This test will take several minutes so keep patience.
15. You can see the status of the hardware, if this tool will detect any problem, then it will show you a message.
16. After completing the scan process, Windows will start.
