We had been experiencing 3540 degree celsius weather this summer, so I decided to shave my long haired cat to keep her cool=) because who wants to be wearing a long fur coat in this summer heat.
Before I shaved my cat, I turned on the trimmer to test her reaction to it. To see if she would be afraid of the sound. She wasn't scared at all, therefore I decided that I would be able to shave her at home safely.

* DISCLAIMER: I am not a professional groomer. in this video I am just showing you what worked for my cat and I, and how I was able to safely trim her coat at home with the tools I bought online. Please bring your pet to a professional groomer to prevent injuries to your cat and yourself if you feel that your cat might be scared or not stay still enough for you to SAFELY shave them at home. If your cat has extremely matted fur, it's best to bring it to a groomer as well. Always test to see if your pet would be afraid of the trimmer FIRST before you decide whether or not you can trim their coat at home.
