By creating a Google My Business listing you are letting Google know that you are in the local area and are ready to start serving local people.

The hardest part is waiting for the verification code from Google to come by mail. This can take from as little as a few days, up to a week. If you do not receive your code in the mail within a week, reorder your code from within the Google My Business console by clicking the verify button in the pending verification box and pressing resend code. Unfortunately lost verification codes happen more than we think.

Having a Google My Business is your first step for massive success with you local business.
