In this video, I'll show how to install and use a screen mirroring app called Inkwire Screen Share + Assist. This app is available in Google Play Store. As the name suggests, this app is for assisting another android user remotely. This app requires the permission of both the users for both installing and sharing screen. The screen is shared via internet and can only be used when both the users are connected to the mobile data or WiFi. InkWire is a 2 way app. That is this app should be installed on both the users and any of the users could use this app for remoting viewing and assisting the other user. This app has got a pen tool that could be used to help to communicate with other user remotely. So, when the viewing phone touches the screen, an ink (pen) is drawn on both the screen to help to communicate with the shared screen's user. While this app is running, there will always be a notification on the phone to alert the user that the phone's screen is been shared. Any of the users could easily stop sharing their screen at any time. And in order to run the app again, both the users would need to voluntarily open/start the app on their phones. Then, in order to share the screen, the sharing phone would need to provide the access code to the other phone for screen sharing. The viewing phone cannot remotely control the shared phone. The pen tool can be used to give instruction remotely in order to assist the other person remotely for guiding. For example, you could use this app to help your parents (elderly people) to troubleshoot or teach on how to use their phone. For example, you could teach your parents how to use Gmail, Messenger, YouTube, changing their phone settings and more remotely. At any time, any of the users could easily uninstall the app.
