This video shows you how to install a new fuel tank pressure sensor in your 19952001 Ford Explorer. The fuel tank pressure sensor feeds data about pressure inside the fuel tank to the EVAP system to determine if there are evaporative leaks in the system. A bad sensor will most likely trigger a check engine light for the EVAP system.

This repair was done on a 1997 Ford Explorer Limited 5.0L Sport Utility 4Door 4WD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
