Greg Chick, Ramona's Plumber, shows how to repairing broken PVC pipe where there is limted space and pipe movement available, by using a compression fitting.

This particular method is limited to low pressure situations such as irrigation distribution lines to the sprinkler heads not water main or water supply lines. Though there are compression fittings available that can handle high pressure, that's for another video.
The compression fitting does not require a solvent joint, as so it is great for situations where the repair area is flooded.
