How To Reglaze Old Windows

Have Old Windows?

In this video, I will show you different methods and tricks for applying new glazing putty to old windows.

In this video I used Dap 33 Glazing Compound because I had some on hand in the shop, you can find it here:* https://amzn.to/3zk1xYb

However! A better glazing putty than Dap 33 is Sarco MultiGlaze:* https://amzn.to/3HuUcHQ'>https://amzn.to/3HuUcHQ

I like it better because it is more workable (think easier on your hands and wrists if you've got a whole house to do) and it is easier for a beginner to lay a smooth bead and get nice looking results. Additionally, it has a faster cure time which matters for painting.

For this project you'll need:
A putty knife

Glazing Putty:* https://amzn.to/3HuUcHQ'>https://amzn.to/3HuUcHQ

May Need:
Glazing Points:* https://amzn.to/3iPaKjt
Pliers
Hammer
Painting supplies, if you're repainting the window after reglazing
New sheet of glass (if your old pane is broken or cracked)
