I recently found a heavily damaged and bent Elizabeth 1st Shilling and have seen some absolutely tragic attempts at straightening coins from other detectorists who don't know what they are doing so I thought I would apply my skills as a jeweller to this toasted Elizabeth 1st shilling and show how it is done properly, even with such a thin coin as this with a deep gouge along the bend.
