⚠ IMPORTANT NOTE ⚠ The high D note that creates the Cadd9 is controversial. It ispossible that John didn't actually play it and it is a resonant overtone created by that particular piano. I personally hear it very strongly in the recording and it sounds “right” to me, but to others, it will sound better without (you can play a middle C instead). Choose whichever you prefer!
