The MercedesBenz PARKTRONIC® with Active Parking Assist is the feature that will parallel park your MercedesBenz for you! Here's how it works.

When your MercedesBenz is in drive, the blue "P" indicator light will show that the PARKTRONIC® with Active Parking Assist feature is functioning and looking for a parking space for you.

Follow the steps below to find a spot and parallel park:

1. Drive under 20mph to allow the PARKTRONIC® with Active Parking Assist to find a parking spot for you. Sensors will go off when your MercedesBenz determines that it can fit in a nearby space, which is highlighted by an arrow.
2. Put the car in reverse, it will then ask if you'd like the Parking Pilot to start? Hit "Ok" on the steering wheel to start.
3. Ease down on gas, and the brake, as needed to begin reversing into the parking spot. Your MercedesBenz will control the steering wheel for you.
4. Follow the PARKTRONIC® with Active Parking Assist prompts to know when to put the car back in drive or reverse.
5. Once you're in the spot, and straight, your MercedesBenz will say "Finished" and you can go ahead and put the car in park.

When you're ready to leave, if you put the blinker on and put your MercedesBenz back in drive, the system will ask if you'd like it to pull the car out of the spot. Hit "Ok" on the steering wheel and it will.

If you grab the wheel at any time it will override the system and give back complete control to you.
