When should I start learning vibrato?
When you have the right position of your left hand on the violin and you can produce a good sound with your bow.

1. Start with knocking motion, like you knock on a door
[ ] Transfer the movement to the violin
2.Translate the knocking to a sliding motion
[ ] The finger should just slide and it will sound like harmonics
[ ] Accelerate slightly as you progress
[ ] As you accelareta the movement will be smaller
[ ] The finger should be very light and relaxed on the string
3.When you “center” your movement, the fingertip should be glued to the string but the rest of the hand needs to have the same motion.
[ ] Start practice the movement with other finger. If you experience problem with 3rd or 4th finger, just stop and continue to practice the movement with the other fingers.
[ ] After you feel comfortable in the higher position you can go to 1st position and practice the same movement.
