Jacking up a camper

In this video, we were at Shelburne RV in Cleveland, TN and I just thought I'd have Steve tell us how he recommends jacking a camper to change a tire. He recommends using a floor jack and to make the jack contact the axles just inside the ubolts. He states that this is where all the weight of the camper is on the trailer and it makes sense that this would be where you would want to place the jack. I personally use a bottle jack and an axle adapter. You have to be more careful with this though, as the bottle jack is easier to tip over sideways. The safest option is to use a ramp such as the Bunker Wall ramp or the Trailer aide, but the problem with these devices is that sometimes, depending on the way the tandem axles are set up, it won't actually lift one tire off the ground.
