Welcome back! In this episode, I'm going to show you how to install a high top on pretty much any van/suv/astro/express/econoline etc. In the previous episodes, we showed you how to rescue a high top from a junkyard, restored the cracks in the fiberglass, and use gelcoat and featherfill G2 to bring it back from the brink to usable condition. This episode will focus on the installation of the high top to the van itself, from the planning/cutting of the roof, to the thought process and approaches of sealing with butyl tape, forming of the extruded metal trim and fasteners that hold it on.
