How to Identify the Poles of a Magnet
It is possible to identify the poles of a magnet merely with a compass. The north pole of the compass will point to the south of the magnet. It is also possible to identify the poles with another magnet wich we know already the polarity. The north pole will attract the south pole of the unknown magnet and will repel the north one.
