How To Get Rid of Tinnitus (Cervical) | Dr. Jon Saunders | Newmarket Chiropractor

In this video Dr. Jon Saunders will give you 3 ways to help get rid of tinnitus. If tinnitus (ringing in ears) has part of its cause coming from your neck, some relief is achievable. Dr. Jon Saunders will show you tinnitus stretches, tinnitus exercises, trigger point therapy and even an ear adjustment that just may help.

Tinnitus is the perception of sound without external stimulation. Cervical tinnitus or cervicogenic tinnitus is a diagnosis by exclusion. Between 5% and 15% of the general population report tinnitus which has a major negative impact on quality of life. To diagnose cervical tinnitus or cervicogenic tinnitus, there should be evidence of neck problems/issues (i.e., appropriate imaging studies like xrays) AND modulation of tinnitus by neck movement which is often associated with neck stiffness or pain.

There are many causes of tinnitus such as agerelated hearing loss (presbyacusis), noise exposure, infections of the inner ear, inner ear problems like Meniere’s Disease, medication side effects, neurological conditions, and rarely tumours. Always check with your doctor to get an appropriate diagnosis.
