I documented my experience bringing our dog in the cabin on an international flight (Canada to USA) on WestJet airlines (but this applies to Air Canada and other similar airlines). I have the medium sized Sherpa pet carrier and it fit perfectly under the seat.

In this video, I share tips about flying with your dog in the cabin (under the seat below you), including booking your ticket (and prices), choosing your seat, size and weight limits, checking in at the airport, going through security and customs, etc.

Our dog measures 13″ high from shoulder to feet and 17″ long from shoulder to bum. She is not an emotional support animal.

I hope this eases any concerns or anxiety you might have before flying with your dog (or pet), because I know I did!
